Instructor JP was designed to function without requiring personal identifiers such as your full name, email address, phone number, or precise location. The App focuses on fitness data that helps you track your training progress without compromising your privacy.

The App may collect and process the following categories of non-identifying data:

• Heart rate data from connected Polar devices
• Training session metrics (duration, calories burned, average heart rate)
• Exercise selections and workout program preferences
• App settings and language preferences

2. Heart Rate and Physiological Data

2.1 What We Collect

When you connect a Polar device and start a training session, the App collects:

• Real-time heart rate (BPM) during your workout
• Heart rate zones and time spent in each zone
• Calories burned (calculated from heart rate data)
• Session duration and timestamps

2.2 How This Data Is Used

Heart rate data is used exclusively to display your training intensity in real-time, calculate calories burned, and generate session summaries. This data stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to sync it with the Instructor JP ecosystem.

2.3 Sensitivity of Physiological Data

We recognize that heart rate data is sensitive physiological information. We do not sell, share with advertisers, or use this data for any purpose other than providing you with accurate training feedback and progress tracking.

3. Device Connection

3.1 Polar Device Pairing

Instructor JP connects to Polar heart rate monitors via Bluetooth. The App does not collect or store your device's serial number, MAC address, or any hardware identifiers beyond what is necessary to establish and maintain the Bluetooth connection during your session.

3.2 No Account Required

You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use the heart rate monitoring features. Simply pair your Polar device and start training.

4. Training Session Data

4.1 Session History

The App stores your training session history locally on your device, including:

• Date and time of each session
• Duration and type of workout
• Heart rate graph and statistics
• Calories burned
• Exercises performed (if using workout programs)

4.2 Local Storage

By default, all session data is stored locally on your device. You have full control over this data and can delete individual sessions or all history at any time through the App settings.

5. Ecosystem Synchronization

5.1 Optional Sync with Instructor JP Diet

If you choose to sync Instructor JP with Instructor JP Diet (our nutrition tracking app), the following data may be shared between the apps:

• Calories burned during training sessions
• Training session dates and durations

This synchronization is optional and requires your explicit consent. It allows Instructor JP Diet to adjust your daily caloric targets based on your actual training activity.

5.2 No Third-Party Sync

Instructor JP does not sync data with third-party fitness platforms, social networks, or advertising services. Your training data stays within the Instructor JP ecosystem.

6. How We Use Information

We use the collected information exclusively to:

• Display real-time heart rate and training metrics during workouts
• Calculate and display calories burned
• Generate session summaries and progress tracking
• Provide workout programs and exercise guidance
• Sync training data with other Instructor JP apps (with your consent)
• Improve App reliability and fix technical issues

We do not sell your data or use it for behavioral advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to your fitness tracking.

7. Data Sharing

7.1 We Do Not Sell Data

Instructor JP does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or fitness data to third parties for marketing, advertising, or any other commercial purpose.

7.2 Limited Sharing

Your data may only be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Within Instructor JP Ecosystem: With your explicit consent, to sync with Instructor JP Diet
• Service Providers: With hosting/infrastructure providers necessary to operate the App
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect rights and safety

8. Data Storage and Security

8.1 Local-First Approach

Instructor JP follows a local-first approach. Your training data is stored primarily on your device, giving you full control over your information.

8.2 Security Measures

When data is transmitted (e.g., for ecosystem sync), we use industry-standard encryption to protect your information. We regularly review our security practices to ensure your data remains protected.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

9.1 Your Control

You can delete your training session history at any time through the App settings. Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data from your device.

9.2 Deletion Requests

If you have synced data with the Instructor JP ecosystem and wish to delete it from our servers, contact us at the email addresses below. We will process your deletion request promptly and provide confirmation.

10. Children

Instructor JP is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us immediately.

11. International Transfers

The App may operate globally, and data may be processed or stored in jurisdictions outside your location. We commit to maintaining appropriate safeguards for international data transfers as required by applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the App if the changes are significant.
